Honduras SHG Organic RAOS - The Marcala region is rightly considered to produce one of the best coffees from Honduras. The RAOS cooperative (Regional Mixta de Agricultores Organicos de La Sierra Ltda) brings together 7 small towns based in Marcala in the La Paz region of western Honduras. For its farmers, the cultivation of coffee is a lifetime, therefore, supported by the government, they produce the highest quality coffee. SHG (Strictly High Grown) specifies that coffee was grown at an altitude of about 1350 meters. Coffee grown at a higher altitude, in moderate climatic conditions and at a lower temperature, produces slower ripening fruit and grains of higher density; which creates a more desirable taste profile.

Region of origin: La Paz, Marcala.

Harvest altitude: 1200-1650 m above sea level

Harvest period: December-March.

Varietal: Catuai, Bourbon, Typica, Lempira, Ihcafe 90.

Treatment: washed.

Classification: Strictly High Grown

Flavor profile: palpable sweetness with hints of caramel and dark chocolate, roasted almonds, light lemon acidity.

Ingredients: 100% coffee beans, roasted.

It should be stored in a dry and cool place away from intense odors. Coffee must be ground immediately before brewing.
